Dear Zindagi is the current week’s big release. In spite of the fact that it is basically promoted on Shah Rukh Khan’s name, he is found in a supporting part, while Alia Bhatt will go up against the main role mantle.
Dear Zindagi is directed by Gauri Shinde and together produced by Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan. While Alia Bhatt as of now has two hits this year as Kapoor and Sons and Udta Punjab, Shah Rukh Khan has a disappointment in Fan. So will Alia offer fortunate for SRK? All things considered, we don’t think about the movie’s fortune, however this is what I felt about the film…

Kaira (Alia Bhatt) is a well known cinematographer, who is experiencing toug times in her life. She is great at her work, however not understanding that huge break. Indeed, even her connections in life – be it her folks or the men throughout her life are spoiled because of her own fears. However when things get a lot for her sensitive personality to handle, she chooses to consult a specialist. So enters Dr Jehangir Khan otherwise known as Jug (Shah Rukh Khan) who, in his uncommon courses, tries to investigate Kaira’s issues and make her embrace life.
Make no two words about it – this is an Alia Bhatt film, completely. The men in the cast, even Shah Rukh Khan, are only there to bolster her. Dear Zindagi is simply one more film that showcases the effective capability of this talented performer. If you were surprised by her performance in Udta Punjab, get ready to be overwhelmed by her sheer anguish here. You can’t resist the urge to not take eyes off her, when she truly gets into a scene, particularly the ones that demonstrate her upheavals. She is quite splendid in her first consultation scene with Shah Rukh Khan furthermore in the scene where she remembers her childhood trauma. I adore the way Gauri Shinde interpreted her character. Kaira is an imperfect individual, you would do feel she is mean to her family and her boyfriends. Be that as it may, you can’t resist the urge to not loathe for her since you can see the glow she has for her friends. Shah Rukh, in the mean time, is an impetus in her life as he tries to make her take care of her life issues. The man utilizes his regular appeal and dimpled grin to successful use, and we are certain girls are going to swoon over him. In any case, what I preferred about him the most that he permitted Alia to own the show, as he gives himself a chance to be a spectator in those scenes. Among the other driving men, Ali Zafar overflows charisma, while Kunal Kapoor lends capable support.
To say about direction, I should say as far as Gauri Shinde’s movies are taken into consideration, her debut movie was more appealing and had a tighter narrative than Dear Zindagi. But, that doesn’t mean Dear Zindagi is a powerless endeavor. It has some truly fine moments, natural warmth in the procedures. The last meeting of SRK and Alia is a case of splendid writing. The songs by Amit Trivedi was absolutely perfect for the movie.
What’s most certainly not
While Dear Zindagi makes for a vibe decent viewing, we do wish that the editor had cut off a couple of scenes in the second half. At two and a half hours, the film appears too long and it permits dreariness to set in. Alia’s scenes with SRK are supposed to be a highlight of the motion picture. However, apart from the initial two scenes and the last one, the rest are excessively long winded and dreary. It would have also helped if Shah Rukh Khan’s character was more fleshed out, particularly since it promoted the motion picture on his shoulders. People anticipating that this should be a typical Bollywood romantic comedy and unmitigated Shah Rukh Khan film, may get disappointed.
What to do
Dear Zindagi will engage you if you cherish cut of life film. A tad bit of trimming here and there would have been great, and it is not a typical Bollywood movie. However that shouldn’t prevent you from not watching one of Alia’s best performance and SRK being his beguiling best.
